What it goes toward
Academic publishing in archaeology is not free. Open-access fees, conference travel, library access, and the time it takes to write something worth reading all have real costs that institutions don't always cover — especially for independent postdoctoral researchers.
My current focus is on expanding the PAS Schemes Monitor, completing a new theoretical piece on Bronze Age depositional practice, and writing fiction in Portuguese that I intend to publish independently. Any contribution — however small — goes directly toward these.
